A freelance project with a goal to establish the brand visual identity along with the design of their website, to showcase their portfolio and services.
Context
Acasa designs was found by Ar. Priya Bapat in 2023. It is an Interior Design firm based in Pune, and their designs mainly revolve around elegant minimalism along with functional spirituality.
The main aim through this project is to depict their firm’s culture and identity visually, by taking their pre-designed logo as a base point, and create a canvas for them to add their portfolio of work. They design each project with meticulous detail, and expect the same from the outcome of this project as well.
Requirements
Create a visual design system that depicts their company values and fondness.
Provide a canvas for them to add their future projects to the website.
Provide minimal distractions in the website, to keep focus on the portfolio images.
Design the system around the pre-existing logo.
Major emphasis on the style of the projects and the site photos.
Design System
I talked to a few colleagues and did a quick survey with power users (people who use ChatGPT daily for research, ideation, and learning). Power users often perform rapid-fire queries, preferring context retention over fragmentation. Here's what i gathered from my conversations:
